Case Study: Celotex Exhibition Surveys

Client:

Celotex

Project:

Building Regulations Surveys

Methodology:

Face to face interviews / Event research

Celotex is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation. With changes to Building Regulations impacting how properties are designed and built in the future, with significant implications on insulation requirements, Celotex embarked on a 50 date educational roadshow. The roadshow was officially launched at Ecobuild, a three day exhibition at ExCeL. As part of the event, Celotex commissioned Real Information (RI) to interview delegates to ascertain their understanding of the proposed new changes and provide the company with competitive insight to their target audiences’ knowledge.

RI worked with Celotex to create a short survey covering various key aspects of the Regulation changes. As part of the survey delegates could request a CPD (Continued Professional Development) presentation by Celotex at a later date, helping to create an opportunity for follow up by Celotex post-exhibition.

To provide an efficient method of capturing the data, RI utilised its hand held mini tablets. The tablets enable RI’s operatives to input responses at the touch of the screen. The data is captured and analysed in real time enabling clients to monitor results via a dedicated web link throughout the research process.

“RI’s ability to utilise the latest technology to provide an efficient and cost effective method of face to face research in a live event environment was essential for this project,” commented Bex Hartlebury, Marketing Communications Manager at Celotex. “The results of the research are now enabling us to target our audience more effectively by ensuring we have our message right.”
